a typewriter poem, written for a mother and daughter
with a spring in my step you help me to bloom
with a skip of my heart you dispel all the gloom
beautiful blossoms
stunning specimens
growth glorious growth
you are my garden my wildflower my budding buddy
together we lean into the sun
send roots shooting down
sturdy strong yet subtle, sublime
all the time I spend with you
helps me to bloom
we become more embedded and intertwined
nothing with stop us from shining
dig deep keep blooming
and if you ever sway in the wind
I’ll be there to support you
stalk of my stalk
let me walk with you always
and may we forever bloom
