momentary pain
doesn’t have to last
you make it remain
by clutching to it
giving it structure
building it creating it giving it life
more life than it deserves
feel the pain acknowledge it analyse it
work out what it’s telling you
it doesn’t hurt for no reason
but it doesn’t have to stay
tell it to move on
make conscious choice
don’t get hung up
and het up
let up
and let go
hurts will heal if you don’t pick
they will fade
you will have memory
but pain?
perhaps merest ache
rather than
gaping wound
